The Series Before The Series

Join us this Sunday morning in both services at the cinema as we begin our new series called, cleverly enough, "The Series Before The Series." TSBTS is a 2-week series before our huge Christmas series! This weekend we will be learning more about the Good Samaritan, and we will answer the question, "Who is my neighbor?" It's a very impactful teaching, so please join us, and invite your family and friends!

Dreams

Join us in both services at the cinema this Sunday morning as we feature Part 4 of our teaching series called "Making Life Work." This Sunday morning we will learn more from Pastor Troy about how to make our dreams work, and how this relates to our service. It's an off-the-chain teaching, so be sure to join us in the cinema on Sunday morning, and also invite your family and friends!

Lima Thanksgiving Food Drive

We know that several hundred people "flipped a bird" last weekend at FRC in South Florida as part of the Thanksgiving frozen turkey drive, and now here at FRC-Lima we're using the whole month of November to collect canned and non-perishable food for our Lima Thanksgiving Food Drive. Please bring your donations of canned and non-perishable food to FRC-Lima every Sunday morning in November, and please be generous! All food will be distributed to needy individuals and families in Lima on December 1. If you know of an individual or family that could use such a donation, then please call the FRC-Lima home office at 441-1837, or e-mail me with the information at steve.guschov@flamingoroad.org.

Money, It's A Gas

Join us in both services this Sunday morning at the cinema as we feature Part 3 of our teaching series called "Making Life Work." This Sunday morning, Pastor Troy will teach us what the Bible says about how to make our money work. We are living in a time of a great worldwide financial crisis, so this teaching is very timely and impactful! Be sure to join us on Sunday morning at the cinema, and invite your family & friends!

US President-Elect Barack Obama

Congratulations to US President-Elect Barack Obama. God has established Obama as the next President of the United States, and we need to pray for him as he undertakes this position. He's certainly going to have his hands full in his new job.

Election Day

It's Election Day in the USA. God already knows who's going to win and become the next US President. Whether you are supporting Obama or McCain, and whether your candidate wins or loses, it's important to remember the words of Paul in Romans 13:1 (NIV), "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." Pray for the winning candidate, even if you didn't vote for him. He's going to need it.

Halloween Outreach - Children's Costume Party

We had a blast on Saturday afternoon at our Halloween Outreach/Children's Costume Party at KFC in Lima! Between children and adults, there were about 70 in attendance. The kids had a ball. There were songs, dance, games, contests, fried chicken, french fries and, of course, lots of Halloween candy! Right before the party started, a very strong 4.3 earthquake tremor rocked all of Lima! It was quite a jolt for the kids who had arrived early, and some of them even thought that it was part of the special effects for the party!
