Getting Ready At Cineplanet Alcazar!

Yesterday we were at Cineplanet Alcazar with a group of musicians and tech people, testing the audio, video, sound, and microphone equipment sent to us by FRC in Florida. Everything looks great and sounds great at the cinema! We're going to keep working and checking things all week, to make sure that everything is all set for our big kickoff on Sunday morning at 10:00 AM at Cineplanet Alcazar in Ovalo Gutierrez! We'll see you there!

LIFE on Saturday Nights

Join us every Saturday night from now on at 7:00 PM at Hotel Las Palmeras in San Isidro for LIFE.

LIFE is our new Youth small group. It will feature music, videos, and a discussion of the important issues, decisions, and choices you face in your LIFE.

The news is out, and FRC Lima has a new home!

Starting next Sunday morning, February 4, at 10:00 AM, join us for FRC Lima at Cineplanet Alcazar, Ovalo Gutierrez, Av. Santa Cruz 814, San Isidro.

We are so pumped up about the move! Our new home is a 300-seat cinema, complete with a lot more space, comfortable seats, air conditioning, the lobby area for coffee and fellowship, additional space for pre-school and children's ministry ... it's going to be a blast!

And of course, we will be making full use of the giant screen in the cinema for all of our videos! It's church in a cinema, and it's going to be awesome!

Be sure to invite all of your friends and family to join us next Sunday morning, February 4, at 10:00 AM for our first service at Cineplanet Alcazar in Ovalo Gutierrez! It's going to be an incredible time, and you don't want to miss it!

More Volunteers Needed

We're getting ready to move FRC Lima to a bigger, better, and more exciting new home, and this also means that we need more volunteers to help us out. This means you!

As FRC Lima keeps growing, we need more people serving. This means you!

We need you to help us out in one of the following areas: Worship; Computer and Video; Greeters and Ushers; Design and Set-Up; Tear-Down; Food; Pre-School and Children's Ministry; Small Groups.

We know that God has given you a variety of different talents and skills, and we know that you can use one of them in His service in one of these ministry areas.

So, please look at the above list of ministry areas, select one, and then talk to me or Dorcas or the Ministry Area Leader on Saturday night about how you can help us. It's a great way to be obedient to God, to use your God-given talents in service to Him and to others, and to reach your God-potential.

Major Announcement This Saturday!

We have made a decision, and we have found a new home for FRC Lima!

Be sure to come this Saturday night at 7:00 PM to FRC Lima at Hotel Las Palmeras in San Isidro, when we will announce the new home for FRC Lima!

We are very excited about the new home for FRC Lima! It has a lot more room for us, has more comfortable seating, is located in an excellent area nearby, and is an awesome space for us to worship! We know that you are going to love it!

So be sure to come this Saturday night at 7:00 PM at Hotel Las Palmeras for the big news! You don't want to miss it!

Relocation Update

We have been looking at a ton of different places for the relocation of FRC Lima. We have looked at other hotels, cinemas, theaters, clubs, institutes, schools, office buildings, restaurants, large houses, and other places, all in and around San Isidro. We obviously need a space that is much larger than the one we have right now at Hotel Las Palmeras and, frankly, I'd like to have a new space that is a lot larger - 300 or more seats - so that we can grow into it. As well, we're going to need more room for all of the new equipment and instruments which have just arrived in the Port of Callao from FRC in Fort Lauderdale for us to use.

Please join us in praying for God's direction and confirmation for a new space for FRC Lima. We have already eliminated many places as being too small or too expensive. We do have to remain within budget. We are reviewing and praying over a list of top contenders, and we should have a final decision very soon, so keep watching this blog for more information.

Live On Video In Fort Lauderdale

On Wednesday morning, thanks to the miracle of Internet video, we were part of a live staff meeting with Flamingo Road Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We could see them and hear them in Fort Lauderdale, and they could see us and hear us here in Lima. It's awesome when we can use the marvels of modern technology to build God's kingdom!

Pastor Troy sends his greetings to everyone at FRC Lima. He spoke about how God's hand is on certain people and certain churches. God's hand is on FRC Lima!

Also: keep watching this blog for more updates about the imminent relocation of FRC Lima. We're growing by leaps and bounds, and we need more space, and we will have it very soon! Stay tuned!

A New Home For FRC Lima?

If you were with us last Saturday night for FRC Lima at Hotel Las Palmeras with Pastor Troy, then you saw that the room was full. Packed solid. Not enough room for even one more chair. Like sardines in a can!

There were 130 people at FRC Lima last Saturday night, and if you remember our Thanksgiving service in November, then you remember that we had 160 that evening. This means that we have a problem - a good problem! This means that we are growing at FRC Lima at a very fast rate!

This is very exciting, but it also means that we have run out of space at Hotel Las Palmeras. We love Hotel Las Palmeras. The hotel, and especially the general manager, Maria Fernanda, have been very good to us. But we're out of space. As we've told you before, the hotel has plans to build a new tower next door to the present one, with a 300-person conference room as part of it, but unfortunately there are problems for the hotel in trying to receive the necessary licenses from the municipality, and so now it looks like the new hotel tower and conference room will not be ready for at least one more year.

So, this means that we need to start looking for a new home for FRC Lima right away. We need your help! Please let us know of any ideas or contacts that you have for a new home for FRC Lima. We have already started to look at different hotels and cinemas and houses in and around San Isidro, but we want to know your ideas! If you have any ideas, thoughts, comments, or contacts for a new home for FRC Lima, then please respond to this blog.

It's very exciting to see what God is doing with FRC Lima, and you are a big part of it!

Pastor Troy Is Here!

Pastor Troy and his family have arrived in Lima, and have had a great start to their trip. On Wednesday they visited various sites in Lima, including the Plaza de Armas and Larcomar. On Wednesday night they said hello to the FRC Lima singers who were practicing for Saturday night. On Thursday they visited the girls' orphanage in La Victoria with 6 members of FRC Lima. On Friday they will visit Pachacutec with other members of FRC Lima.

Don't forget to come out on Saturday night, January 6, at 7:00 PM for FRC Lima at Hotel Las Palmeras in San Isidro to meet and hear Pastor Troy. It's going to be an awesome time, and you don't want to miss it! Be sure to invite all of your friends and family to come and hear Pastor Troy, too!
